Rehumanize Chicago

Our worth is not based on circumstance but in our shared humanity.

Join Us for a Police Accountability Panel on November 10

November 10, 2:30-4:30 -- Oppose Oath Keepers in CPD

The Oath Keepers are an insurrectionist terrorist organization which boasts significant law enforcement membership, including CPD. A coalition of concerned groups from around the city will be hosting a panel discussion about this problem, and Rehumanize Chicago will be there to support them.

Join us on Sunday, November 10, at Movement on Montrose (2951 W. Montrose Ave.)! Doors open at 2pm. Event starts at 2:30.

Remember to vote against IVF on Tuesday, November 5

Rehumanize is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a big-tent coalition with a diversity of views, both of which are good reasons why we do not endorse parties or candidates the way that many advocacy organizations might.

However, sometimes individual issues are clearer, and one of Rehumanize's issues is on the ballot on Tuesday. The referendum reads:

Should all medically appropriate assisted reproductive treatments, including, but not limited to, in vitro fertilization, be covered by any health insurance plan in Illinois that provides coverage for pregnancy benefits, without limitation on the number of treatments?

We are urging voters to please vote NO on the IVF referendum. We are certainly not against reproductive health and assistance, but IVF (in vitro fertilization) as it is commonly practiced often creates many more embryos than are wanted, leading to "discarding" (killing) of living humans. We are against IVF insofar as we know it will not be practiced non-violently.

If you're still deciding what to think of IVF and embryo's rights, please take the time to consider this explainer from Rehumanize International. It is very well argued with science and reason and responds to common objections to the pro-life position.

Thank you for attending the Rehumanize International Conference

Just wanted to sincerely thank anyone who attended the Rehumanize International conference this past weekend. Sometimes the Consistent Life Ethic is kind of lonely, and it is good to be in a community and among friends. See you next year!

...and across social media @RehumanizeChi

We're active across pretty much all mainstream social media. Facebook, Instagram, and Threads tend to downrank activist content, and Twitter/X has unfortunately started advocating against human rights, but Bluesky and Mastodon are two great ways to connect with us, and we're actively cross-posting to all.

Are we missing one? Let us know. We aim to be everywhere you are!
